Who is Engage Calvary?
Engage Calvary is a Calvary Chapel church in College Station, Texas, serving the Bryan/College Station area. The church is committed to helping people know Jesus and grow in their faith, with verse-by-verse Bible teaching, contemporary worship and a welcoming community. Whether you’re new to faith or have followed Jesus for years, there’s a place for you.
When and where does Engage Calvary meet?
Sunday services are at 10:30 am, and the church also gathers on the First Wednesday of each month at 6:30 pm for prayer. Both are at 903 Harvey Rd B, College Station, TX 77840 (see map below). If you have questions before your first visit, call (979) 324-3972 or email info@engagecalvary.org.
What should I expect at a Sunday service?
A typical service lasts about 75 minutes. It opens with about 20 minutes of contemporary worship led by vocals, guitars, keyboards and drums. There’s no choir on stage, because everyone in the room is considered part of the choir. Pastor David Reynolds then teaches the Bible for about 45 minutes, and the service usually closes with a song of response. Coffee and conversation follow, so plan to stay and meet people. What does “verse-by-verse” teaching mean?
As a Calvary Chapel, Engage Calvary studies Scripture chapter by chapter and verse by verse through entire books of the Bible, rather than picking topics week to week. The church is currently in a series in the book of Acts. You can follow along on the church’s website, mobil app or YouTube channel, or as a podcast.
Do you have programs for kids?
Yes. Every service includes children’s ministry for ages 6 weeks through 8th grade:
Nursery: infants and toddlers up to age 3
Preschool: ages 3 to 5
Elementary: grades 1 to 4, who join the adults for the first two worship songs and are then dismissed to class
Intermediate/middle school: grades 5 to 8, beginning after worship
Preschool: ages 3 to 5

Each classroom includes worship, snacks and an age-appropriate Bible study.
What does Engage Calvary believe?
Engage Calvary holds the Old and New Testaments as the inspired, infallible Word of God. It believes in one God in three persons (Father, Son and Holy Spirit), salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, and the present-day ministry of the Holy Spirit. How can I get connected beyond Sunday?
Home Groups are a good next step. They meet Wednesday nights, except the first Wednesday of the month, and there are groups in Bryan, College Station and Hearne. You can sign up on the Home Groups page, where you can also ask about groups that offer childcare. The church also has ministries for men, women, high school students and addiction recovery, plus outreach and missions opportunities. The Next Steps page is a good starting point.
